Team PAWA had the distinct honor of hosting a delegation from Zimbabwe comprising of the Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Development and Vocational Training, The Zimbabwe Youth Council and the National Youth Caucus. Today’s conversation served as a learning experience on how young Africans are using non-formal means like #artivism to engage the civic space, what challenges they encounter, and how policymakers can better support them. We shared insights from PAWA’s #ArtivismReport, and we explored what the learnings mean in a broader African context. These Pan-African conversations are essential not only for learning, but also for fostering cross-border solidarity in the quest for accountability and good governance.

Young Members of Parliament led by Chairman Hon. @Gitonga_Mukunji and Kisii County MP Hon. Dorice Donya today held a meeting with a delegation from Zimbabwe led by the Deputy the Minister of Youth Empowerment, Hon. Kudakwashe Mupamhanga.

Later, Chairman @Gitonga_Mukunji took the Zimbabwean delegation on a tour of the iconic KICC, where they had an opportunity to learn more about its historical and strategic significance as a premier venue for international conferences and diplomatic engagements.
