Queued ranked with Eliza last night and we ran into edaters in bot lane matching names. matching icons. matching skins. twitch and yuumi duo. both emerald 2. the whole package. i saw it in loading screen and told eliza "these two are about to break up in 30 minutes" she said "be nice" i was not nice because here's what these edaters didn't realize, they weren't just playing against a vayne and a leona. they were playing against another couple. a POWER couple. and couples going up against each other is not a normal game of league. it's a war between relationships. it's about whose duo chemistry is real and whose is performative. whose trust has been earned through losses and whose has been faked through matching usernames. whose girl actually knows his playstyle and whose girl is just attached to him because he asked her to download the game last month. level 3 i walk up on the twitch. eliza flash stuns him without me calling for it. she already knew. that's what the right duo chemistry looks like even when you've only been duoing for weeks, she reads me before i even move. the yuumi? jumped off the second things went sideways. detached mid fight and ran. left her boyfriend standing there alone condemned into a wall. she didn't just lose the trade she abandoned him in it. double kill before minute 4. and i can only imagine what their discord call sounded like in that moment. him screaming "WHY DID YOU DETACH" at a volume that definitely woke up his roommates. her voice cracking trying to defend herself. him unmuting to say "i'm not mad i'm just FRUSTRATED" which is what every man says right before he tilts harder than he's ever tilted in his life. meanwhile me and eliza haven't said a word on call. didn't need to. we engaged. we won. we moved on to the next wave. that's the gap. and the enemy bot lane felt it through their screen. by minute 15 the yuumi is permanently attached to their fed jungler. the twitch is split pushing side lane in silent protest. they're not duoing anymore. they're two people who used to love each other sharing a ranked game. we won at 27 minutes. they surrendered. league doesn't break relationships. league EXPOSES them. and when two couples collide on rift only one of them walk out together. Study the Saskio & Eliza way
