If I was to tag my biggest problem in trading it would have been "boredom".
I'd get a strategy, I'll study and test it, I'll create a trading plan and funny enough I was able to stick to that trading plan and manage my risk properly but then over time I'll hit a trade drought and I'll get bored because I'm not actively trading and I'll start doing things like :
👉 Adding a "second" model
👉Going to the lower timeframes
👉or adding more random pairs
Just so I could get more setups,
And this always backfired because the losses just piles up and I end up dropping that strategy and picking the next.
This loop continued till I was able to recognize that pattern and break it. I got closer to profitability when I embraced boredom and understood that "no trade" doesn't mean something was broken.

If you've been trading for 2 years+ and you aren't profitable, trust me 90 percent of the time knowledge isn't your problem , you've probably learnt all the technicals possible.
You'll discover that if you pay someone to learn , 90 percent of the time you know most of the things the person would teach you ,You have enough knowledge to actually make you profitable, there's no secret knowledge anywhere.
So what then is the problem?
The people you see doing very well just stayed with the knowledge they had and got better with it over time , they made mistakes of course but they learned and they got better , sometimes locking In means you stop hopping around , shut out the noise and honing in on what you know already, just you and your charts.

@InnocentMarve11 No matter how discipline you are you will still revenge trade or overtrade once a while

@ajdoestrading Backtesting is worth it for finding your strategy’s statistics and building confidence in your edge. But once you have the data, forward testing matters more. A strategy that works in hindsight still needs to survive real emotions, real execution, and live market conditions.

If those fuel price hikes aren't dropped, the Kenyan economy will dive straight into recession.

Watching your trade while it plays out is often an unprofitable approach.

That moment when you enter a trade… and suddenly start checking it every few seconds. That’s not trading anymore. That’s anxiety in disguise. If you know, you know.
