Expanding tariffs, no comprehensive deal, capital leaving, brain drain, and a government more focused on global branding than protecting Canadian workers and industries. This isn’t strategy. It’s denial dressed up as leadership. The longer Carney’s crowd pretends we hold the cards, the worse the eventual bill will be for ordinary Canadians.

Many Canadians are looking at the prospect of moving to America and discovering its almost impossible unless they own a business or have American family to sponsor them. Meanwhile Canada takes whoever shows up at the border with a sob story. It's no wonder our nation is cooked.

The United States is not an abstraction. It is the largest customer for Canadian goods and one of the greatest sources of jobs and wealth in our provinces. Provincial leaders who attack and shame that customer are playing politics with other people’s livelihoods. Strong leadership means defending provincial interests firmly, respectfully and intelligently. Citizens deserve diplomacy—not childish provocation with the economic partner upon whom so much of their prosperity depends.
