🚨 He has $45,000,000.
She has $3,000,000.
And they're trying to figure out a prenup.
Him: She's got $3 million. I've got $45 million. Should we have a prenup?
Dave: Yes. In your situation, absolutely.
Him: She suggested slowly moving some of my separate property into community property over time. Maybe 5% a year.
Dave: There's no reason to do that.
Him: She wants to feel like we're building something together.
Dave: Then don't focus on splitting the assets. Focus on splitting the growth.
Him: What do you mean?
Dave: You leave with what you entered with. Your $45 million is yours. Her $3 million is hers. Then decide how the growth from this point forward gets shared.
Him: That sounds reasonable.
Dave: The goal isn't to create a roommate situation where you have to decide who pays for the mustard in the refrigerator.
Him: Right.
Dave: The goal is to protect what you built before marriage while still building a life together after marriage.
One of the smartest lines in this conversation:
"You leave with what you entered with. Then you share the growth."
That's a much healthier discussion than arguing over who owns what.

@BaneThe76451 I heard that he had a trust. If he didn’t put her as a beneficiary of the house in the trust, then she doesn’t get to have the house. Or anything else in the trust that doesn’t stipulate her being a beneficiary. What happened in the marriage anyway? She gave no examples.

@officer_Lew Why do they want to fire her? Because the children are learning about money instead of that common core bs?

@Dexerto It’s just a matter of time before car dealerships are on the chopping block.

A woman walked into a Home Depot after buying all the materials she needed to build a dining table. She asked an employee if he could show her how to put it together. The employee told her he wasn’t a carpenter and that he could only show her where the wood was located. She felt frustrated because she already had everything and was just hoping for a little guidance. Customer service can be tricky in situations like this. Employees may not be trained builders, but sometimes even a little advice or pointing someone to helpful resources could make the experience much better.
Do customers expect too much when they ask store employees for step-by-step help with projects, or should employees be more willing to guide them?

@crwscntrl That's a hard line though. "We're the werewolves and they're the Vampires...and this ain't Twilight."😆

@elonmuskPBG I’m gonna go with 2. Just the couple went on a picnic. It didn’t say the sons went as well.

@akafaceUS New York here. Long Island specifically. I’m gonna go with it being a pond. It seems too small to be a lake.
