Ben, I checked yr Fed election results. Looks like you, your Mum & your sisters all voted for you. I'd go again. See if you can pull in Uncle Bob & Aunt Martha. Let no opportunity go begging. Start at Christmas lunch, and gravely inform them that you have decided to run again.

A lot of people seem to be taking that view. I'll see how I go. If it turns into a cesspit, I guess I'll have to, too.

How the fuck is this a deal? It’s twice the price of a Tesla wall charger which is far better. Total rip off @AmpolAustralia

@SawyerMerritt Next up, Tesla adds the amazing technology of windscreens to their cars. World wide release, Tesla fanbots go ape. /s Hullaballoo over adding stuff that's been normal in other cars for a long time is just annoying.

NEWS: Tesla will soon roll out a new blind spot warning feature where if you try to open a door while an approaching object is detected in your blind spot (e.g., a cyclist or other vehicle), the blind spot warning light will flash, an audio warning will sound, and the door will not open on the first press of the bottom. Press the button again to override the warning. Via @NotATeslaApp: notateslaapp.com/news/2358/a-lo…

@_AlexSimmons_ @GavinAtkinsUK As I said, TSS (or any other metric that combines time and intensity) works okay in most applied scenarios. Volume is the greatest predictor of gains. But TSS does not work well if I wanted to model the "metabolic stress score" of various work-matched HIIT sessions in the lab.

TSS is a poor training load metric to quantify load in the severe domain. It considers intensity (i.e., distance from FTP), but not the duration the intensity is sustained for. TSS rewards you for taking breaks within your bout of severe exercise. Example: 20min at 105% FTP.

@_AlexSimmons_ @GavinAtkinsUK In practice it is a trivial issue. TSS, TRIMP, sRPE will all work reasonably well. This post was more about the theoretical basis of how to model momentary stress accurately.

@HilkkaKontro Yes TSS is imperfect - well known. Understand the model’s short comings when analysing data.

@simonahac Does anybody consider reducing demand for energy? The debate all seems to be about the type of supply. Any supply system, including renewables, uses natural resources. I'm sorry, but we haven't much of those left.

i was on a panel last week with the topic: "is it too late for #nuclear in australia?" the question should be: "is nuclear too late for australia?" the answer is that nuclear is too late for our *current* energy transition — but maybe the sector will be ready for the next🤷‍♂️

@sydney_ev Last month at Chatswood, per kWh, I paid 70c, at Taree & Thrumster 78c (but unable to charge at Thrumster because no Telstra phone signal) and Raymond Terrace 91c. That's with Tesla membership discounts. NRMA Thrumster was 59c, a miracle it worked, usually dead.

I have not used a DC fast charger outside of the #Tesla network now for almost a year, apparently the pricing for other networks has increased significantly, last time i used the supercharger, it was considered the most expensive by a decent margin, from what i can see now, its the cheapest! #ev

Yes. And, strangely, it is word I have always got wrong. I think I have been misusing it since I must have learnt it wrong when I was five years old. But "hanged" still sounds wrong to me, even if I know it is right!

@sydney_ev Range anxiety is and has been a real thing for us because of unreliable regional/rural charging networks. It's no fun rocking up to find yet another dead charger. Evie, NRMA, Chargefox have woeful uptime. If a planned route does not have Tesla superchargers then I do get anxious.

If its only for #EV drivers with Range anxiety, it might not get used much, if ever.. Range Anxiety is something non Ev #drivers think EV drivers have. Victorian towns install EV chargers to lure in drivers experiencing ‘range anxiety’ theage.com.au/national/victo…
