Don’t fall for the aesthetic trap. The body you currently have, whatever that looks like, is beautiful. Your current body is a summer body. Body is tea. You are beautiful as you are right now

Full grown adults who can’t vacation, take a gap year, have hobbies, play an instrument, speak multiple languages, swim, cycle, skate, or backpack. Just a lifetime of hustling and trying to escape survival mode. These are subtle poverty metrics no one really talks about.

Religious people will describe heaven as a classless, stateless, moneyless society with no private property, no suffering, and everyone’s needs met, then turn around and call communism evil. It will never stop being funny.

“The village” never includes y’alls brothers, uncles, dads, grandfathers etc. It’s always women; mostly unmarried women and or older women. The village is specifically set up to siphon more labour from women, to make up for the incompetence of men.

I don’t want a city on Mars. I don’t want AI in every app. I don’t want data centres in space. I don’t want humanoids or flying cars. I want clean water. I want a stable climate. I want bees to survive. And a habitable planet.

I hate when Black people act like this generation is the first to struggle with mental health issues. Do you genuinely believe that the Black people who were enslaved, lived through Jim Crow, the crack epidemic weren’t mentally impacted by it?
