My dogs never attacked anyone, if I told them to "see them off" or if anyone got too aggressive towards me, they would give a warning growl, which is exactly what I taught them. Even after all the kicks they got from my younger nephew, they never attacked.

Also the love between a human and a dog is alot more special than anything in this world. Thats why it hurts so much to lose them.
