Today is my last day on Apex. After 11 years in games I was finally hit by layoffs. 17 seasons, 9 Legends, & 5 ALGS LANs later I can’t help but smile. Apex is special because of the people who make it & play it. So thank you to the Apex community & Apex team for (1/?)

ALS now uses subscription based billing for Patreon. That means that you are now charged only on the day you become a Patron, and this same day monthly. Until now, that was on first day and then 1st of each month. You can now also gift subs to your friends through Patreon. As always, massive thanks to all Patrons that are helping cover running costs and keeping ALS ads free. ❤️

Caching has been fully reworked today and is now done at the CDN level. Went from being able to handle a few hundred concurrent requests to thousands. ALGS stats on ALS should be smooth as butter for Split 2 with no freezes at end of games now. 😎

Almost 100k unique visitors for ALGS stats on ALS for this LAN, making it one of the most viewed ones. The website was struggling on end games to handle the thousands of concurrent connections, but there will be improvements made soon to have a smoother split 2. With more stats, also. See you soon. 👀

Random stat: a total of 2528 Shield Batteries have been used. Yanya and Zaine used the most, both at 54 by themselves.

Standings after game 2. ELITE takes the lead with 138 points, being the top team of each set they've played. Finals, Survivor Stage and Eliminated are "as it stands", with one more set of games to play for all teams tomorrow.

Weapons meta so far at EWC! R99 on top as expected, followed by the RE45. Hemlok is only 3rd 😎

ALS looks running smoother than yesterday. A fix has just been applied for latest game stats being delayed upon first refresh.

In both sets played so far, the first 3 legends have all been the same: Crypto, Seer, Mad Maggie. 🤠

Further improvements have been made to mitigate ALS stability issues on ALGS end games. Spaghettis have been tied up and it should be running smooth now™
