I notice when I fall into sin, memorising Qur'an and du'as becomes harder. When I avoid it, everything becomes easier and the consistency compounds. Sin darkens the heart and creates a barrier to spiritual acts.

the way sins stop you from doing good deeds is scary... it's either the Quran is stopping u from sinning or a sin is stopping u from reading the Quran... we wrong ourselves every time we sin. May Ar-Raheem forgive us and make us better muslims.
