What up. My name is Fr. Justin, and I'm Black, Catholic, and proud. Here you will find one man's experience & expression of being an African American Catholic, Latin Rite. I'm down with @Pontifex, the Magisterium & spreading the Faith of the Church. I'm a Catholic priest as well.

This is one of my fav videos to watch.
The Maronite words of consecration - spoken in Aramaic, the very same language of Christ.
Whenever I feel anxious or just need to hear something beautiful, I return to this.
Holy Thursday felt like the right time to share this again.
Take 2 mins today. Let it wash over you🕊️

My homily this weekend:
"He who raised Lazarus from the dead [will] come stand outside your human hearts. And as our Lenten penances join forces to roll back the stones of our sins, He will shout out your name and say, 'Come out!'”

As a Nashville priest and life-long Titans fan, this is how I will see now. And the blue for Mary, too 🔥 Thanks for the connection, brother Padre! In the Oilers/Titans tradtion and the Church's tradition I say to this: #LoveYaBlue #LoveYaMary
Fr Matthew P. Schneider, LC@FrMatthewLC
Is it just me, or does this new alternate logo of the #Titans remind you of the back of the miraculous metal?

This particular event will continue to be one of my greatest highlights of the pontificate of Pope Francis. It was in the year 2020, in the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. Pope Francis, 83, slightly bent, limping, weak, and frail, walked up the stairs of St Peter's Square, stood alone on the rainy and deserted ground of St Peter's Square, and prayed for an end of the COVID-19 pandemic. At that instant, he exemplified his name, Papa (fathe) - Father of the whole world.
Never to be forgotten.

The last public appearance of Pope Francis before his death. He came out on the balcony of St Peter's to greet the crowd during the Angelus Prayer on Easter Sunday. He died early the next morning, on Easter Monday. May his soul continue to rest in peace🙏🏿
