@mattvanswol @HistoryBoutique Cant believe how bad it has gotten out there reading this. Glad you made the decision to protect your son's values.
English

Well, I have some news that's going to make some people uncomfortable...
My wife and I are pulling our youngest out of North Carolina public schools and my wife will be homeschooling him.
And no, we're not sorry about it.
We didn't come to this decision lightly. We prayed on it, argued about it, ran the numbers, lost sleep over it.
But every road led back to the same common theme: nobody on God's green earth loves that boy more than his mother and I do, and nobody is more responsible for who he becomes than us.
Yet, rather ironically, despite believing this somewhere along the way, we handed that responsibility to strangers and... trusted them with it.
His mind. His values. His time. His education. His TRUTH.
...and this past year, for the first time, we stopped and asked whether they'd earned that trust.
We don't think they did.
So we're taking it back.
Yeah, we're scared. Scared we'll get something wrong. Scared of the workload. Nervous about what people will say.
But I'll take the fear of us doing it ourselves over the quiet horror of watching our son be indoctrinated in utter BS woke nonsense and be laughed at for believing in God and mocked for liking President Trump (all of which occurred this year.
So yeah, he's going to read the hard books. The ones they'd rather he didn't.
He's going to learn history that hasn't been run through an anti-White woke filter.
He's going to know exactly where he comes from and what he believes.
Most importantly, he's going to grow up watching his mother choose him, to spend every day, all day with him, over what was easy.
They had their shot. They blew it.
We've got him from here. 🇺🇸

@PeterStefanovi2 The red rose was really a true sign of your wife telling you she is ok. 🥹🥹 You will be united with her in the next realm. God bless you and your family ❤️❤️

Many have asked why I have been so silent these past weeks. I'm heartbroken to say my beautiful, darling wife passed away on Thursday. She had held my heart in her hand from the first moment I saw her and we shared 36 wonderful years together. She had bravely battled cancer with courage and fortitude for many years yet still never lost the ability to light up a room with her beautiful smile, her wonderful sense of humour and her laughter. Not once did she give up the hope for life. I truely believe there is more to this existence than we know and that one day we shall be reunited by our love for each other, a love that was so honest and so real and so true. Until then I shall hold her tightly in my heart. When my daughter and I returned home from the hospital a red rose had appeared in our garden. It was right outside our door and had appeared from nowhere in a clump of dry weeds. Red roses were my wife’s favorite flower. She wore 3 in her hair at our wedding and carried a bouquet of red roses. I had asked her to send me a sign before she passed to say she was ok. It must have been sent by her.
You will stay forever in my heart until we are together again my darling ❤️

@mitchellvii I think paying with the credit card is the cheapest way because you get points and those points go twds a business class plane ticket redemption. At least that's what I am doing. And of course I pay the card every month, so no interest. 😁
English

We get into credit card debt because for some reason when you pay with a credit card it feels like it's free.
But actually paying with your credit card is the most expensive way you can buy something unless you're completely paying off your card every month.
If you buy something for $1,000 with a credit card and then make the minimum payments, you basically paid over $2,000 for that item!
Use your credit card because it's safer than using a debit card but pay that thing off every month!
English

@mitchellvii What about getting a Tesla so you dont have to pay for gas? 😄
English

I use my credit cards to pay for everything. It's just simpler and makes it less likely that I'll have some sort of fraud.
Anyway I pay them down every month.
That being said I'm always shocked when I see the bill at the end of the month and it's like $1,200. I think, what did I spend $1,200 on?!
And it's never one big thing. It's 30 bucks here, 10 bucks here, 60 bucks here. The things that really stand out, of course, are gas, which are unavoidable. Groceries which are unavoidable but mainly eating out, which is really really expensive and avoidable.
I could save the equivalent of a car payment by just not eating out!

@zannymb @elonmusk @andrewrsorkin I thought the interview was balanced and good with exception of a few unfounded accusation but for you to come back and attack him again after he clarified his position is really pathetic. Now I think you are the problem.
English

I enjoyed discussing my @elonmusk interview with @andrewrsorkin on Squawk Box. You can watch the full segment where I discuss some key takeaways: cnb.cx/4x4EsFx

I advise Economist to release full interview free of charge to the public on Youtube not just bits and pieces. I listened to full interview and I thought it was a very good balanced one. You had debated him the last 30 min and thought Elon definitely won. I think you were wrong to ask him - what right do you have to interfere with European politics. He cant help having 250mn followers, and merely expressing his opinion! They all can think for themselves too. But overall, I think your interview is good.
English

I sat down with @ElonMusk for The Insider this week. We discussed the future of AI—but also his foray into politics and his attitude towards Europe.
Our exchange was extended and at times heated. Tune in on Thursday at 6pm London time (1pm New York): bit.ly/4fsnd9Q

“There really won't be anything that AI can’t do better than humans, apart from being human, perhaps,” says @elonmusk. He tells @zannymb that artificial intelligence may exceed the sum of human intelligence in about five years. Tune in to The Insider from 6pm London time: bit.ly/4vQxWB7
English

@true32253 @bennyjohnson And Elon cant help having 250 mn followers on X and merely expressing his opinion. They can think for themselves too!
English

@_BernieW @bennyjohnson What right does the rest of the world have to interfere with OUR politics?
English

@MarkHobbs1958 @bennyjohnson Totally agree. If this were a debate, Elon definitely won. And she knew it too.
English

@_BernieW @bennyjohnson She waited for what she thought was the bait. But it back fired. Because Elon is way too intelligent and very factual. Made her line of questioning look ridiculous as it was. She had no real stance and made herself and those that believe as her look foolish.
English

@MrPlow1984 @bennyjohnson Exactly, I got a chance to listen to the full interview from a Youtube channel which got taken down right after and Economist only released parts of the interview on Youtube.
English

@_BernieW @bennyjohnson Yup. Medea accused him of something, then paywalls the interview so we can’t verify clips for context.
English

To be fair, that 1 hr 24 min interview of Elon with the Economist Chief Editor was a very balanced one. The first part about AI was insightful, the second part on politics was a bit of a debate which I think Elon came out winning that debate. The only part that I think Zanny was wrong to say was when she asked Elon "What right do you have to influence European politics?"Geeez he is just expressing his opinion on X! He can't help having 250 mn followers, and they can think for themselves too!
I recommend everyone to listen to the whole interview.
English

@EricLDaugh I am listening to the full interview and she's alright at the beginning.

🚨 REPORTER: Your interventions risk making Europe worse
ELON MUSK: How?
REPORTER: You support people who are proto-authoritarians...very clear fascist tendencies
ELON: I think you're just completely MAKING THINGS UP. What you're saying is TOTAL FICTION. I am merely saying Europe needs to have SECURE BORDERS. It should not let in vast numbers of people with views antithetical to the accepted views in Europe. This is common sense.
🔥🔥🔥
He's on a roll!
