Three years ago, my boyfriend rented an apartment… in my name. Every year, he’s been sending money to renew it. Recently, he ran into some issues with his own landlord, so he called me and said he wants to move in with me. I told him no. To me, moving in would feel like skipping steps in our culture basically living together without the proper traditional process, which I’m not comfortable with.
