We got the whole team together for a special anniversary lunch filled with pizzas, chicken, fries, cake, and plenty of laughs along the way. One of the best parts of the day was hearing everyone share their favourite work memories and the things they enjoy most about being part of the team. From unforgettable social events to everyday moments, it was a great reminder of the people and experiences that have shaped Box Twenty over the last decade. We also put our creativity to the test with a hilarious round of the one word story game, safe to say things got very random very quickly, appreciate everyone's creativity though. 🏗️ Project Update: Kinbourne House 🏗️ Fantastic to see progress gathering pace at Kinbourne House, formerly 11–13 Whiteladies Road. Now that site setup has been completed, construction works are officially underway to convert the existing office space into high-quality student accommodation for Urban Student, with delivery by Clever Space Construction. Team Lunch Day at Box Twenty! This month’s lineup brought some serious flavour to the table: Paul served up a delicious salmon with rice and veggies, fresh, wholesome, and perfectly cooked, Felix treated us to gyoza dumplings that disappeared almost as quickly as they hit the table, and Kausarat made Chinese fried rice, packed with flavour and comfort. We’re pleased to see the Royal Artillery Museum receive support from the National Lottery Heritage Fund for the development of its new museum project. This important milestone will support the next stage of proposals, helping to bring forward plans for a new museum and collections facility that will preserve and enhance access to a nationally significant collection. Box Twenty has supported the project at an early stage, undertaking site surveys and utilities assessments to inform the feasibility of the scheme and assist the wider design team in developing initial proposals. Last Thursday, the Box Twenty team had the pleasure of attending the Forum for the Built Environment AGM Dinner, and what a fantastic evening it was. The event brought together professionals from across the region, creating a great atmosphere for meaningful conversations, networking, and reflecting on the past year within the industry. It was excellent to see so many familiar faces alongside new connections, all in such a well-run and welcoming setting. This week we welcomed Vince Reddick from Buteline to the Box Twenty office to deliver a CPD on the Buteline Plumbing System. The session provided a great overview of the system, including its key features, installation considerations, and applications within modern plumbing systems. We’re really proud to share that two projects Box Twenty worked on have been longlisted for the 2026 MacEwen Award, which celebrates architecture that delivers real social value and contributes to the common good. Being recognised among 23 projects with such a strong civic focus is a genuine honour. Guide Dogs Regional Centre designed by Kay Elliott Architects for the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association. This BREEAM Excellent-accredited regional training centre brings together multiple strands of the Guide Dogs service into one cohesive, purpose-built facility. Set within a sensitive greenbelt location, the project carefully balances best-practice sustainability with the needs of staff, volunteers, and service users, creating an inclusive, highly functional environment that supports life-changing work. Worcester Community Skills Projects, Worcestershire designed by Askew Cavanna Architects for Worcester Community Trust and Worcester City Council. This ambitious programme renovates five community centres and delivers a new Construction Skills and Green Technology Training Centre. Located in areas of highest educational and economic need, the project places community engagement at its heart, transforming local facilities into vital skills hubs that support training, opportunity, and long-term regeneration. Both projects reflect values we care deeply about at Box Twenty: collaboration, sustainability, and using the built environment as a tool for positive social impact.
