The refs consistently let PSU get away with things that they hammer the rest of the country for. Rocco Welsh needed a restart and clearly steps off the mat on purpose to stop the clock. This would be called stalling for anyone else in the country, but not for Cael’s boys at Penn State.

@FloWrestling @AthletePS Not a fan of it. It’s just as boring to see a match won on a few step outs in freestyle. But the stalling at the end needs to change. Maybe step outs in the last minute of the match? 🤷🏻‍♂️

Ohio State was 5th this year with 84.5pts. Two years ago, Cornell was Runners Up with 72.5. This was a historically high year for team points at the top. 6 programs combined for 40 of the 80 All Americans. I'm not sure that's a good thing.

It was an amazing tournament no doubt. With that said, no more official matside reviews and coaches get one challenge per tournament. If they are correct they get the brick back until they lose a challenge. The stoppages were out of control.

My Crystal Ball for 2027 will come out next week. #1 PSU - only loses Levi, and is super stocked. But expect a lot of RS's and wt shuffling #2 OKST - loses just Konnor. very deep roster. Jamison back healthy #3 Nebraska - Loses Hardy, Lamer, and Silas. Couple young guys waiting in the wings. may be active in portal in a few spots #4 Iowa - Graduates Dean, Drake, Mikey and PK. probably active in portal #5 Ohio State - loses Mendez, Paddy, Kharchla. Very good roster/recruiting.

Sasso and Mullen are still growing into their weights and have improved each year. Mid-upper weights are where they're thin.
