There’s this guy that just moved into my friend’s estate, and my friend is crushing on him so bad 🙈 On her way to work today , he greeted her “good morning”, and she called me immediately after 😂 From the call alone, I could literally feel the excitement and butterflies in her stomach 😭🤭 At this point, I’m invested too 😩 I’ll definitely do a story time because something tells me this is about to get interesting . There’s this house I wanted to rent. When I got there, I discovered they were still working on it. They kept pressuring me to pay, saying it would be ready in one month blah blah blah. I said NO and left. That house took an extra 4 months. I heard of a case where a lady paid an agreed amount while waiting for them to finish building. When they finished, they increased the rent and refunded her money after she had waited over 2 months 🤦‍♂️. For me, if the building is not ready like ready, I am not paying a dime for it.

In 2024, I was so broke that I started entering supermarkets just to enjoy their AC 😭 One Friday, my crush texted me: “Wear something nice, I’m taking you out tonight 😉” Omo I was happy until I checked my account balance. ₦842. But as a Nigerian babe, shame will not let you confess immediately 😭 I spent one hour choosing outfit, did full makeup, borrowed body mist from my roommate and entered cab like a rich auntie. Halfway to the restaurant, the driver said: “Madam, transfer no dey enter. Na cash I dey collect.” My heart skipped. I started pressing my phone aggressively like network was the problem 😂 Then I called my friend immediately: “Babe abeg send me 5k first, emergency.” She replied: “Na you I wan message for urgent 2k.” At that point, I knew everybody in my circle was fighting the same spiritual battle 😭 I finally reached the restaurant. Fine place, Soft music and expensive menu. I opened the menu and almost fainted. One small pasta was ₦18k. I quietly closed it like I was checking notifications. Then this man smiled and said: “Order anything you want, don’t be shy.” My sister, I ordered small food with big composure 😂 While eating, I packaged the remaining chicken in my mind for breakfast the next morning. Suddenly, his phone rang. It was his girlfriend. Not sister, not cousin, girlfriend! The way this man stood up and started whispering “baby calm down” ehn😂 I didn’t even wait for dessert. I carried my small takeaway pack with dignity and left 😭 Got home, removed my clothes dramatically and ate the remaining chicken by 1am while questioning my destiny.
