Our society is deeply classist and status-obsessed. A boy from a humble background works extremely hard, clears the CSS exam, and instead of genuine praise, people’s first reaction is: “Oh, he’s the son of a Naib Qasid.” “His father is a truck driver / laborer.” Why?
