Airborne infectious disease spreads like cigarette smoke. If you could breath someone's smoke, you are breathing potential viral particles.
I lived in a crowded urban environment, so I wore a mask to run outside.
💨🏃
When I could run, that is..

@BowTiedIguana I used to wear an Airinum Active Mask to run outside. Elastomeric with head straps, optional out valve, 4 different filter certifications.
The filters aren't available right now and I don't have $ for them anyways.
I can't always work out and am not buying another elastomeric.

@aakashgupta Honeymooned there. Place is sick. Largest glacier in Europe. One lane bridges are spicy. Highly suggest a guided trip on it. Gotta get back to ski.
English

That road is Route 1 in Iceland. A week driving it costs roughly $2,500 per person. Flights from the US run $500-600 round trip. Gas is $8-9 per gallon. A glacier hike is $125. A night in a decent hotel near Vatnajökull is $160-200.
Total tab for two people to spend a week staring at that glacier instead of a monitor: somewhere around $7,000.
The median American household earns that in about 18 working days. Sitting in a room. Staring at a screen.
The people who actually drive that road on a random Tuesday in March fall into two categories: retirees who stared at screens for 40 years and saved enough to stop, or remote workers who figured out how to stare at a screen from Reykjavik instead of a cubicle in Ohio.
Both paths run through the screen.
The photo is real. The freedom it represents costs $7,000 and 10 days of PTO. The device you’re reading this complaint on is the same device that books the flight.
fardeen@fardeentwt
the world looks like this and we’re expected to sit in a room for 8 hours a day staring at a screen

Got the Rivian! But the k03 AT tires seem really loud. I measured the DB at about 76 when going 65 mph. I got them balanced which helped a little but any Rivian owners have advice? I am thinking I might sell the k03s on Facebook and get some Michelin all seasons if I can't figure out another solution.

Took the dog to the vet yesterday
Golden retriever
She ate something in the backyard
My wife said "she looks off"
I said "she's a dog. She always looks like that."
My wife made the appointment anyway
Nice office
Fish tank in the lobby
Every professional I visit has a fish tank
The vet came in
Looked at the dog for maybe 30 seconds
Pressed on her stomach
The dog wagged her tail
He said "we should run some tests"
I said "what kind of tests"
He said "bloodwork, X-ray, urinalysis, and an ultrasound"
I said "she ate a stick"
He said "we want to be thorough"
I said "what's the cost"
He said "roughly $3,400"
For a stick
My wife looked at me
Not the ceiling this time
Directly at me
The look that means "if you negotiate the vet bill for our dog I will never speak to you again"
I said "run the tests"
Fastest approval I've ever given
No diligence
No second opinion
No counter
The dog looked at me
Tail still wagging
She has no idea what anything costs
Must be nice
They took her to the back
We sat in the waiting room for two hours
My wife was worried
I was calculating the per-minute cost of this visit
I didn't say that out loud
Therapy taught me that much
The vet came back
Looked at his chart for 90 seconds
He said "good news. Nothing serious. She probably just ate something that didn't agree with her."
I said "so she's fine"
He said "she's fine"
I said "we waited two hours and spent $3,400 to confirm what you suspected when you pressed on her stomach for 30 seconds"
He said "we wanted to rule things out"
I said "what did you rule out"
He said "quite a bit"
I said "name one thing"
He paused
My wife said "we're paying the bill"
I said "I know we're paying the bill"
The vet recommended a "premium digestive supplement"
$89 a month
I said no
My wife said yes
The vet looked at me
I looked at the dog
The dog was asleep on the floor
$3,400 and two hours later and she's the most relaxed one in the room
We paid
In the car my wife said "you were going to negotiate weren't you"
I said "the thought crossed my mind"
She said "it's our dog"
I said "I know. That's why I didn't."
She looked at me
I looked at the road
The dog was in the backseat
Head out the window
Not a single thought behind those eyes
I've never been more jealous of another living thing
$3,400
$89/month supplement
One stick
Non-negotiable

English

baby boomer wants $500k for this sensible starter home, and you'll have to put $150k into it as soon as you buy it because boomer hasn't done anything to update it since they bought it 40 years ago for $50k

Born in Seattle, in 1954, because Houghton, now Kirkland had no hospital.
Lived in Boston, for six years. Moved back, married, bought a house, had a family.
It was good.
In 2026, it is hellish. I am moving, to Idaho.
The progressive freaks have taken over this state.

I was born and raised in WA, have lived in downtown Seattle for 20 years, absolutely love my city but this is why my husband and I will be moving out of state. Washington has become financially hostile.
English

@CineramaSave @Leia1492 Alabama of the SW would be very pleasant to live in compared to woke western WA where everyone wants to stick their dirty ass fingers into your pocket book to extract cash and give it to some doped out addict or blue haired non binary bitch.

@Leia1492 “Washington is hellish! I’m moving to the Alabama of the Northwest.” Hahahahaha

48 Inches of Fresh Snow Almost Buried This Snoqualmie Skier Alive 😳❄️⛷️
Full story: A skier was pulled from a deep snow burial at The Summit at Snoqualmie Pass after yesterday’s storm dumped 48 inches of fresh snow on the mountain.
Deep snow immersion can occur anywhere on the mountain not just in the backcountry. All credit to @iandeans for jumping into action and capturing this. You saved a life.
With heavy snowfall forecast to continue across the Cascades, ski patrol and safety officials are urging skiers to never ride alone and to always look out for the people around them. #SEATTLE

Fellas, I’m not too sure it’s a good sign when the correlation between the rape rate and the “we give them free money” rate is not only positive, but exponential.
Jonatan Pallesen@jonatanpallesen
Immigrant groups who rape the most are also the ones we pay the most to live in our countries.
