@tradu81 @HassCFC If you can’t see that Colwill is by far our best defender and a future world class CB, you’re choosing not to see it. All we need is one top CB to partner with him. Chalobah, Sarr, and Josh are more than enough for depth. It’s really that’s simple.

Colwill is only the ‘best’ CB at the club because he’s surrounded by mid‑level CBs, & he’s one of them. Chelsea have become a mid‑table outfit with Colwill as a starting CB, & that tells its own story. No wonder you think replacing him with an actual elite defender is unrealistic, you’ve convinced yourself Colwill is elite, when at best he gets us finishing 4th, 5th or 6th. 🤷‍♂️ Is that what you want, scraping top 4 finishes? He’s slow, Maguire fridge v2, gets cooked 1v1, bullied physically, & switches off constantly. We didn’t concede for fun because he wasn’t there, we conceded because our entire CB group, including him, isn’t good enough. Refusing to sign an upgrade & protecting mid‑level CBs like Colwill isn’t ‘smart’. Its an emotion driven view & football illiteracy. Use your brain for a second. If better players make a team stronger, why wouldn’t you want the team to be stronger? A team is only as strong as its bench. Colwill on the bench makes us stronger because the starter (Potential new worpd class CB) is better, that’s literally how elite squads operate. If your backup is starting, you’re weaker. If your starter is better than your backup, you’re stronger. This isn’t philosophy, it’s basic squad building.

@tradu81 @HassCFC Yes, Chelsea would be stronger with Colwill as a regular starter. We went an entire season without him and we conceded goals for fun. Thats no coincidence. Benching the best CB at the club and suggesting we bring in unrealistic replacements is objectively dumb. Hope this helps 👍

Objectively, you have not provided an argument or opinion. Its kind of a "dumb" response to be honest. I assume you want Chelsea to win the EPL? Objectively & logically. How close have Chelsea been to winning the EPL with Colwill & our current CBs starting? Do you think CFC will be stronger with Collwill as a regular starter or stronger with a BETTER world class CB starting & having Colwill as a backup?
