🗣️ This week, our Director gave evidence in Parliament on the future of the BBC. 🫟 As the UK’s largest cultural organisation, the BBC’s unique role in UK arts and culture MUST be central to the Charter Renewal debate.

Can confirm. Singing regularly (choir), going to the theatre regularly, visiting museums, reading (!!) - it's fresh input, it's interaction, it gives you something to think about, it connects you with other people, gets you out of the house.

The arts are demonstrably, measurably, biologically good for us. A necessity, not a luxury. theguardian.com/science/2026/m…
