the value-creation move right now for Southeast community and smaller regional banks is taking advantage of the disruption from super-regionals. go take their talent and customers who are being left behind and let others be distracted by M&A. just make sure you manage your balance sheet correctly and this may be a once in a decade opportunity (at least since Truist)

How many followers would I gain if I started tweeting like this: Just found a great community bank. It trades at 50% of TBV because it has a ROA is 0.40% & ROE is 2.27%. They don’t buyback shares because there is no liquidity. Being a shit bank is not a bug it’s a feature.

@Schornack @gatorcapital Agree, because they have underinvested in human capital and R&D. At your size what % of products could you develop in-house for less? Of the products you wouldn't develop in-house what % would make sense if you were +$5 billion in assets? - Can't see $1 core = $2.7 VAS anymore
