We now live in a society where pain gets normalized, then passed down as “discipline,” “tough love,” or “that's how I turned out fine.” The wild part is it feels right not because it is, but because it’s familiar and most times we don't even know it. But what do I know.

This delivery is too harsh. It comes off more like a public takedown than constructive feedback. Breaking things down with clear direction, not just what’s wrong, but how to improve, would make it a lot more helpful. “This is 0/10” kills the conversation It immediately puts the designer on the defensive. Nobody learns from feeling embarrassed, they just shut down. As designers, the goal should be to help each other grow.
