Her father said she was released by security afterwards, no charges. He says the family plans to pursue legal action, “Despite showing she had nothing stolen, these guards singled her out and used excessive force on her—causing emotional trauma and distress. We’re taking legal action for assault, false imprisonment, and racial discrimination. This incident isn’t isolated; it reflects a disturbing pattern of racial profiling against Indigenous youth across Canada.”
