Furman’s Clare Coyle (@clarecoyyle) has established herself as one of the most reliable and efficient forwards in the Southern Conference this season. The 6’1” sophomore is averaging (14.9) points and (7.8) rebounds per game while shooting an impressive (55.7%) from the field, giving the Paladins a consistent interior and mid-post scoring presence. Coyle has been particularly effective in home games, where she’s producing (17.3) points and (8.3) rebounds on (61.8%) shooting, showcasing her ability to finish through contact and capitalize on high-percentage opportunities. She impacts the game beyond the box score as well, adding (2.1) steals and (1.1) blocks per contest while anchoring Furman’s frontcourt on both ends. Through 17 games, Coyle has helped guide Furman to a (9–8) record, ranking among the team leaders in scoring and rebounding. Her combination of efficiency, physicality, and two-way production continues to make her a focal point in the Paladins’ lineup and a matchup problem for opposing frontcourts across the SoCon.
