It’s a state championship sweep for the Starkville Yellow Jacket basketball teams.

Final: Starkville 40, Germantown 36. Jerwan McCarter had 10 points to lead Starkville. Yellowjackets claims the MHSAA Class 7A state championship. Sixth state title overall and first since 2020.

Class 7A State Championship Boys Basketball FINAL: Starkville 40, Germantown 36.. After being down 13 in the second half, the Jackets have some unreal toughness to win it all. That’s six state title for the Jackets, seven at four different schools for Anthony Carlyle.

Jada Gay is the MVP of the 7A Championship. The Southern Miss signee caps an incredible senior season.
