Middle Tennessee had great news today! President McPhee is retiring. Thank you for your service to this university. The great news is, that ALMOST ALWAYS, the new President brings in their own Athletic Director!

The craziest thing about the McDevitt extension is...he didn't even have to be fired!!! His contract was up! But Massaro extended him! MTSU needs better leadership!!!

@BlueRaiderStats He publicly announced it after he got caught in the parking lot being asked about it. It was an ordeal. He had already extended him and had said nothing for awhile.

McDevitt is 98-71 in years 4 through 8 after being 24-62 in years 1 through 3. For a total of 122-133. You can’t go into year 9 with a sub-.500 coach. He’s had his opportunities. Sure the last 5 years have been better, but how could they have been any worse than those first 3? I still don’t give him a pass for those years. And what he’s done since then isn’t enough to change the calculus. Program needs a fresh start with a coach who will embrace the full job description. This job demands unrelenting grind and salesmanship. He hasn’t delivered

I'm not going to go hard on MTSU basketball, I've done a lot of that throughout the season. What I will say, real change is needed from the top down. And if you can't agree with that, you are just delusional.

@I_am_legens 😂 I still stand behind my school, but I also try to be realistic. I never gave up the desired hope for them to make the tournament but was providing unbiased thoughts about coaching. Always believed in the guys! However let's go win the whole thing!
