My 2021/22 Story Unlike most people, I came into crypto with some capital around $3,000. I bought BNB at around $570 on Binance, KCS on KuCoin, and a handful of other altcoins. Later, I moved some of my portfolio into Solana and made decent money from utility plays on the ecosystem. I wasn’t early enough for the Ethereum or Solana NFT boom, so finding an edge was difficult. I spent countless hours grinding whitelist spots, but for some reason I was incredibly unlucky and barely secured any. By the time I finally got my spark, the NFT frenzy had already cooled off. There was still money to be made, but nothing compared to what came before. Around that period, I sold my KCS for a small profit, I kept holding BNB because I was already underwater, only to eventually sell it around $200, deep into the bear market. By then, almost all my friends had left crypto. Everyone had taken their share of losses and given up, our group chat, which used to be active every day, went completely silent. But one thing kept me going. I kept seeing people on X winning. I told myself, if they can do it, I can too (I could see the process, so believing wasn’t difficult) With NFTs fading, I started falling in love with DeFi and began farming airdrops. I posted a tweet about what I was doing, and it unexpectedly went viral. From that point on, everything changed. I started getting whitelist allocations through the NFT application meta and was finally able to make back some money. Then FTX collapsed. Just like that, my entire cycle’s savings were gone. 🤣 Honestly, that was the story for most people in that cycle, at least 80% either rotated their profits into something that eventually went to zero or lost everything to events that were completely outside their control. So when someone tells you today, “You could just mint an NFT for $10 and watch it become $10,000 in a few hours,” remind them of the people who: ▪️ Lost everything when LUNA collapsed, wiping out roughly $29 billion in market value in about a week. ▪️ Lost billions as crypto lenders froze withdrawals following the collapse of Three Arrows Capital. ▪️ Lost their life savings during the FTX collapse. It wasn’t easy. Yes, the chances of making life-changing money were high,but the chances of losing it all were even higher. --- Personally do not think any cycle was easy, you just have to be delusional at all times to standout.

Each of those house’s Xeus bought cost good money. Doing this in this market condition literally shows he is loaded, Now imagine doing all in 1week? Diabolic 😂 People say they are late into web3 and i smile, you are only late to the “free money” and $0 part of web3. Currently you need to work the shit out to make money, and you need money to make money now. Memes are broad, so you need a circle of like minds, you need tools and you need steady activeness. Job section, you need to have good skill and good proof you can deliver, that’s when recommendations starts coming. You can’t just be a reply guy and want some kind of jobs, you need skills and good proof. On trading side, you need to be a trader, have the psychology, market sentiment, be deep in both fundamentals and technicals. - Some traders don’t even know when the next CPI is coming out, - some jobbers don’t even know the latest trend on new chain, - while some meme hunters don’t even know what a new chain is or how to bridge to it. You can’t be putting low efforts and be expecting a good return, it no longer feasible in web3. Simple..!

One step at a time

Being on a deep soak of learning lately and tbh with myself and the new stuffs I come across everyday it seems to make sense now. Will resume my learning documentary and try my best to stay consistent and active on 𝕏. And i'm grateful to everyone who's been following along.

july is not over yet and i believe somehow that this last week will be my week i did have wonderful things happen in this month though • got more closer to God • did my defense • went to olumo rock • got two jobs • went to see spider-man: brand new day • got back on my guitar • started learning to play basketball • my dad got to be 60 • started my ugc run • got on substack • had less friends but i’ve got Jesus • got an handshake account set up i’m sure by the end of the month i’d add more 🙂‍↔️

The zeal for most web3 folks is at its all time low. But in the past 48 hours I’ve noticed significant shift in emotions towards the grind again. Here are few things that has kept me going since 2020 👇 1 - Locking in when no one is watching: This is where the money actually is, the moment everyone is logged out, feeling down, we aren’t early blah blah, you lock in on every single alpha there is. When bitcoin was launched in 2008-2009 those who found it in 2015 thought it was already too late and those who found it in 2020 thought they aren’t early but Bitcoin evolved, crypto evolved and today we have different branches brewing, DeFi, perps, predictions, memes, content writing, ghost writers, bounty hunters, several other things. If I had said since I didn’t buy bitcoin in 2008 I should give up, I would never become Farmercist or make as much as I even made even in the last 1 year and this year. If you believe we are no longer early Exit go find a real job and tell us how easy it is to achieve $1m-$2m from your bed. 2 - Airdrops: I will always be an advocate for airdrops in a space where people always talk low of airdrops but actively chase it every single day lol, even the best meme traders, futures traders all love that same airdrops. Airdrops isn’t just some random name, it helps build community, build numbers for meme tokens ( Ansem did some airdrops for his meme just few weeks back and you all here was busy chasing it up and down or it isn’t )?. Airdrop is the bedrock of crypto currency, as big as bitcoin there was a faucet that airdrop peeps free tokens that kick started this trillion dollar movement. Airdrops don’t only change live, but opens a window of constant liquidity growth, mindset change to money and even networking, most collaboration I’ve made came from my discord grinds of airdrops and most BDs I know now we all grinded on Discord lol 😆. The opportunities with airdrop is endless. 3- X: a lot of persons see twitter or formerly X as just a platform to tweet and play lol 😳, o see X as my official Office, that I have been employed by X to work 24 hours of the day, that even so if I don’t get rewarded on the projects I grind, I will eventually get monetized, get paid for tweeting while keeping 100% gains from Airdrops is grind!!! Would you ignore your employer in a real life job? But you neglect your X account, tweet nonsense, constant fighting, X is a business and treat it as such ✌️. A lot of persons even from Nigeria Average 200,000 ngn to 5m monthly all from tweeting their opinion which is crazy considering our economy. These three things and more keeps me going, Airdrops hasn’t died and will never die. Lock in now for your Generation…
