@clemmorton @TheWheelOfTime They have 8 episodes in 8 seasons tops to tell a story that is 15 books long. Naturally, things aren't going to land point for point. Race has to make sacrifices to tell the base story, not the frills.

Interesting episode. - Tanchico - I’m torn, I like & I also don’t. (Too darkly lit scenes) (Loved the song, and subtle betrayal of culture) - Not a fan of “the spider” at all. She evokes a sense of disgust. Which is the point, so she beautifully betrayed the creepy essence of her. - Rand - The hints of madness & absolute anguish at the death of the girl. I got a sense it was a bit of a forced scene. The whole time felt like it was spent building up to that, it didn’t just happen spontaneously. I’m re-reading the books in parallel to watching the episodes - It’s not accurate to the books, it’s a completely different story unfortunately. One needs to watch it with the understanding that it’s simply an interpretation f the books, not a representation of them. Read the books & you’ll see…
