It continues to be one of my greatest honours to support The @DofE Award and being able to pay forward the values of service, resilience, and resourcefulness to the next generation of truly inspirational leaders. #DofE #DofEAwards #BuckinghamPalace #BritishArmy

Humbled to have been appointed a MBE in the King’s Birthday Honours - a reflection not of individual achievement, but of the extraordinary people I’ve had the privilege to work alongside — most notably during my time at the Centre for @Army_Leadership. #MBE ##ArmyLeadership

With the @DofE exped season well underway, it was great to support a blog on my top tips for cooking outdoors, mostly learned the hard way through misadventure! May be of interest to those working with young people about to head out on their expeditions: dofe.org/thelatest/5-ti…

A glorious day visiting HMS Queen Elizabeth today. The @RoyalNavy did a fantastic job showcasing their capabilities, but it was the people that were most impressive - working exceptionally hard, but still highly motivated, clearly lead well, and engaging at every level. 👏

@BeryceNixon @carpenter_rob The civilian application would be ‘empowering others’. There’s some nuances between the US and British versions. Ultimately, it’s about a leader outlining the intent (end state), setting freedoms and constraints, confirming understanding, then allowing others to crack on. 💪

@BeryceNixon @carpenter_rob I remember these thought exercises (and the resulting brain-ache) well when we were developing our own framework! I will email you - been out of the country for a couple of weeks. Looking forward to catching up soon.

@Army_Leadership At an individual level, during mid-year appraisals, encourage self-reflection and the identification of leadership skills that need developing. Combine this with honest and constructive feedback and explore together, through coaching, possible ways to improve these areas.

I’m truly honoured to join @ExceedLP as a Director. I’ve been inspired by the enthusiasm of @BeryceNixon who is driving exceptional outcomes across the Trust. Very excited to support the Trust’s mission to improve the life chances for all pupils over the next 4 years. #Education

@poppyeh It seems like good news but may depend on how it is applied. Schools tend to calculate military fees based on published CEA rates. If fees continue to be calculated against any new rate of CEA, with VAT being subsequently applied, this could actually cost even more!

No exemption for military families BUT the Govt will increase the Continuity of Education Allowance, as we reported Doesn't provide further details of how much or when specifically, but says this will be "ahead of the VAT changes on 1 January" telegraph.co.uk/politics/2024/…

The Govt has published its costings for adding VAT on private schools - it's more optimistic than the IFS report The IFS report predicted it would bring in £1.3bn - £1.5bn each year The Government hopes it will bring in £1.5bn in the short-term and £1.7bn in the long-term
