As a graduate of one of our prestigious war colleges, I'm sure Blake here is aware of the concept of the "Idiot In The Room". It's a very old tradition. Senior officers would have a very junior officer (always very inexperienced and pretty ignorant, and sometimes even a fairly low IQ) present during planning discussions. The reason we do this is because if an idiot can figure out your plans, you can be guaranteed the enemy can figure them out as well. Gatekeeping based on credentials to duck valid critiques from experienced warfighters makes me think Blake might have filled that chair a time or two.
