🚨 #𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 | 𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐀𝐈: 𝘚𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘊𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘦 On Monday evening, The Dialogue brought together creators, policymakers, legal experts, and industry stakeholders for a candid conversation on how 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐀𝐈 is reshaping India’s creative economy. The convening marked the launch of a 𝘧𝘪𝘳𝘴𝘵-𝘰𝘧-𝘪𝘵𝘴-𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘥 𝘦𝘮𝘱𝘪𝘳𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘭 𝘴𝘵𝘶𝘥𝘺 exploring how creators are adapting to rapidly evolving technological realities across storytelling, monetisation, production workflows, audience engagement, and digital visibility. Over the past few months, at The Dialogue, we engaged with 50+ 𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬 navigating this transition in real time, balancing experimentation, uncertainty, adaptation, and opportunity. What emerged was not simply a story about AI tools entering creative workflows, but a broader shift in how value, originality, and creative labour are being understood in the digital economy. The discussion reflected this complexity through perspectives spanning copyright, innovation policy, platform ecosystems, creator sustainability, and the future of creative expression. 🎙️ 𝐏𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐥 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐮𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐫𝐬: 🔹 𝐇𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐮 𝐁𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐢, Partner, Saikrishna & Associates 🔹 𝐀𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐤𝐚 𝐆𝐨𝐝𝐞, Vice President, Startup Policy Forum 🔹 𝐒𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐩𝐭𝐨 𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐣𝐞𝐞, Deputy Director, nasscom 🔹 𝐙𝐮𝐛𝐚𝐢𝐫 𝐇𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐟𝐢 (@zubairhanifi), Head, Magister Litis & Co. 🔹 𝐊𝐚𝐳𝐢𝐦 𝐑𝐢𝐳𝐯𝐢, Founding Director, The Dialogue 🎤 𝐇𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐌𝐢𝐜 𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬: ✨ 𝐒𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐭𝐢 𝐏𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐲 (@srishtayyyy) ✨ 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐮 𝐀𝐛𝐡𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐤 𝐁𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐰𝐚𝐣 (@naasamjhdoggy) A particularly meaningful part of the evening was the 𝐇𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐌𝐢𝐜 𝐒𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧, where creators shared deeply personal reflections on navigating AI-driven change within their professions, reminding the room that conversations around emerging technology must remain anchored in 𝐡𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬 and 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐝 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬. ➡️ 𝐀𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐒𝐮𝐫𝐯𝐞𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞: shorturl.at/tec53 At its core, 𝘊𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘈𝘐 sought to ensure that conversations on AI and creativity remain grounded in 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬, 𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐯𝐨𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬, and the evolving realities of creative labour in India. #creatoreconomy #generativeai #contentcreators #influencers #aigovernance #creativeeconomy #digitalcreators #futureofwork #aipolicy #innovationpolicy #contentcreation #aiandcreativity #publicpolicy #digitalpolicy #emergingtech #techpolicy 𝐄𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐝 𝐏𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐬: @SriKrishnaLavu | @SaikrishnaIP | @SPF_India | @nasscom 𝐄𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐝 𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬: @Naasamjhdoggy | @srishtayyyy 𝐇𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐬: @JameelaSahiba | @kazimriz | @kameshsshekar | @MeemansaAgarwal | @kritisingh29

💡 #EventRecap | 𝐃𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐕𝐨𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 | 𝐌𝐮𝐦𝐛𝐚𝐢 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐮𝐞 recently convened the first Mumbai edition of the 𝐃𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐕𝐨𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞, bringing together over 20 creators, commentators, journalists, storytellers, stand-up artists, and other prominent digital voices with a cumulative audience reach exceeding 5 million. The closed-door discussion served as a dedicated forum to better understand the evolving realities of India’s creator ecosystem and the growing intersection between creator expression, platform governance, and digital regulation. Participants shared perspectives on a wide range of issues, including platform accountability, copyright and impersonation concerns, deepfakes, online safety, transparency in takedown processes, monetisation risks, and the broader implications of regulatory uncertainty for creators and independent digital voices. An important takeaway from the discussion was the need to ensure that creators are not viewed solely as subjects of regulation, but as critical stakeholders in conversations around 𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 𝐠𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞, 𝐝𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐩𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐲, and 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲. The session also reinforced the importance of a 𝘸𝘩𝘰𝘭𝘦-𝘰𝘧-𝘴𝘰𝘤𝘪𝘦𝘵𝘺 𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘢𝘤𝘩 that enables more sustained engagement between 𝐩𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐲𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐫𝐬, 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐬, 𝐜𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐥 𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐭𝐲, and 𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬. The discussion further highlighted the importance of 𝘣𝘶𝘪𝘭𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘶𝘤𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦𝘥, 𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘭𝘶𝘴𝘪𝘷𝘦, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘤𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘰𝘳-𝘪𝘯𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘮𝘦𝘥 𝘱𝘰𝘭𝘪𝘤𝘺 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴 in an increasingly platform-mediated digital environment. 📰 #MediaFeature | #Opinion | 𝐁𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐝 | 𝐔𝐏𝐈 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐝 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐚 𝐩𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐢𝐭 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐞 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐢𝐭 𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐬 UPI transformed India’s payments ecosystem by making digital transactions simple, interoperable, and embedded into everyday life. But could the same infrastructure now reshape access to credit itself? In this opinion piece published in the print edition of 𝐁𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐝, 𝐑𝐚𝐧𝐣𝐞𝐞𝐭 𝐑𝐚𝐧𝐞, 𝐎𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝, 𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐡 & 𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞, 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐮𝐞, and 𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐚 𝐊𝐚𝐥𝐞, 𝐂𝐄𝐎 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐫 𝐅𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰, 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐬 𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, examine how 𝘤𝘳𝘦𝘥𝘪𝘵 𝘰𝘯 𝘜𝘗𝘐 could fundamentally reshape the future of borrowing, especially for underserved users and small businesses. The piece explores why the next phase of India’s digital public infrastructure story may not just be about payments, but about how 𝘤𝘳𝘦𝘥𝘪𝘵, 𝘳𝘪𝘴𝘬, and 𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘭 𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘭𝘶𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯 evolve together at scale. But as embedded credit expands rapidly, difficult questions around safeguards, repayment behaviour, and systemic stability begin to emerge. As generative AI systems increasingly produce text, images, music, and audiovisual content with minimal human intervention, one foundational question is moving to the centre of global copyright debates: 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐩𝐲𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐥𝐚𝐰 𝐫𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐚 𝐡𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐫? 📰 #Mediafeature #Opinion | 𝐂𝐍𝐁𝐂 𝐓𝐕𝟏𝟖 | 𝐒𝐜𝐚𝐦 𝐡𝐮𝐛𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐀𝐬𝐢𝐚 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐞𝐭𝐥𝐲 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐠𝐥𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐥 𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐥𝐞𝐦 Thousands of Indians are being trafficked into highly organised scam compounds across Southeast Asia. What looks like ordinary cyber fraud is now intersecting with 𝘨𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘰𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘴, 𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘦𝘪𝘨𝘯 𝘱𝘰𝘭𝘪𝘤𝘺, and regional security calculations. In this powerful opinion piece for 𝐂𝐍𝐁𝐂 𝐓𝐕𝟏𝟖, 𝐑𝐚𝐮𝐧𝐚𝐪 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐚, 𝐒𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐫 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐞, 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐮𝐞, examines how these networks have evolved far beyond isolated fraud operations into deeply entrenched transnational ecosystems. The piece unpacks why rescue operations alone cannot become strategy, how global powers are beginning to respond very differently, and why India may be underestimating the scale of what is unfolding. Because this is no longer just about online scams. It is about who controls the infrastructure of digital exploitation. And the most unsettling part may be how rapidly this model is spreading. 📰 #MediaFeature | 𝐄𝐓𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡 | 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐚 𝐬𝐞𝐞𝐤𝐬 𝐟𝐚𝐢𝐫 𝐌𝐲𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐬 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬 As India engages with global stakeholders to secure access to advanced AI systems like Mythos, the conversation is shifting toward 𝘦𝘲𝘶𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘢𝘤𝘤𝘦𝘴𝘴 and 𝘤𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘭 𝘪𝘯𝘧𝘳𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘶𝘤𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘴𝘦𝘤𝘶𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘺. In conversation with 𝐒𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐛𝐡𝐢 𝐀𝐠𝐚𝐫𝐰𝐚𝐥 (𝐄𝐓𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡), 𝐊𝐚𝐳𝐢𝐦 𝐑𝐢𝐳𝐯𝐢, 𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐃𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫, 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐮𝐞, underscores why India’s participation in early testing ecosystems is not just a national priority, but part of a broader global security architecture. As AI systems become capable of autonomously identifying and exploiting vulnerabilities, exclusion from such ecosystems could create asymmetries in 𝘤𝘺𝘣𝘦𝘳 𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦 across geographies. For a country anchored in digital public infrastructure at scale, these gaps are not abstract. They are systemic. 📢 #PublicationAlert | 𝘈𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘤𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘳𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘈𝘐 𝘤𝘰𝘱𝘺𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘥𝘦𝘣𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘭𝘪𝘦𝘴 𝘢 𝘲𝘶𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘸𝘦 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘺𝘦𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘰𝘭𝘷𝘦. Generative AI is reshaping how content is created at scale. Yet before questions of authorship and ownership can be meaningfully addressed, a more foundational issue remains unresolved. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐬 𝐚𝐧 “𝐀𝐈 𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐩𝐮𝐭”? Our latest 𝘱𝘳𝘪𝘮𝘦𝘳, authored by 𝐉𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐞𝐥𝐚 𝐒𝐚𝐡𝐢𝐛𝐚 (𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐃𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 – 𝐀𝐈 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐀𝐟𝐟𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐬, 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐮𝐞) and 𝐀𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐀𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐥 (𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫, 𝐀𝐀𝐒𝐀 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐬 | 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐅𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰, 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐮𝐞), takes a step back to examine how AI-generated content is produced, how it can be classified, and how it fits within India’s existing copyright framework. By mapping the AI content generation process and proposing a structured taxonomy of outputs, the 𝘱𝘶𝘣𝘭𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 lays the groundwork for 𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐫 𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐥 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 in this space.
