Ppl in developmental labs: how do you allow caregivers to monitor their kids in the testing room during experiments? Wall-mounted web cam streaming to caregiver’s cell? Baby monitor? We had sthg more elaborate at UMD but it involved construction and I want to avoid that.

Scientific writing & presentation is a skill set to be learned. Have more patience for yourself and colleagues bc beyond language, the scientific (often mixed with social) culture is much harder for non-natives to see/learn bc it varies cross-discipline and evolves over time.

It took my entire PhD to feel comfortable (not necessarily good at) giving talks in English despite doing it 2x annually at intl conferences and 10 yrs up to that point being in the US edu system. And another 5+ yrs with scientific writing for publications/grants. I feel seen 👇🏼

Can someone who recently wrote an ECR R21 for @NIDCD clarify: ~Where in the app are we allowed to cite interim products (preprints)?~ Just the biosketch? Also research strategy? I know ECR R21s have different rules than R01s, but I am getting lots of conflicting information.
