As weirdly executed Nayuta’s death was, it still serves a purpose in Denji paying the price for his decisions. There’s been an underlying theme of Denji having to choose between two things, and always choosing the wrong option. This was one of them He chose being Chainsaw Man over Nayuta, and she died for it. It does serve a point as it’s one of the many consequences of Denji’s bad decisions
