A little correction: Eritrea's shores were reclaimed by its rightful owners through the blood, sweat, and tears of Eritreans. The rest is spot-on. ጻድካን ድኻ ሓንጎል ተዋሪድካ።

Abraham Gebremichael
Abraham Gebremichael@YohannesSo41790·
THE PRICE THAT CANNOT BE REVERSED By Artist & Writer: Abraham Gebremichael When a leader stands before his parliament and boasts that “it took Eritrea thirty years to separate, but it will not take us thirty years to get it back,” he is not making policy he is revealing delusion. Let it also be said with clarity: Eritrea did not “separate.” It returned to itself. For how can one separate from what one never was? Eritrea was not born from Ethiopia. It was colonized by Turks, by Italians, by the British, and unlawfully annexed by Emperor Haile Selassie but it remained Eritrea throughout: in name, in memory, in blood, and in resistance. Our struggle was not for separation, but for restoration. Not for invention, but for recognition. So when a man of power stands and says, “it took Eritrea thirty years to separate.” He mistakes occupation for ownership, and freedom for favor. History knows better. And the Red Sea remembers the truth. Such words do not echo strength. They betray hunger dressed as pride, a fantasy born from a famine of vision. This is not diplomacy. It is desecration a public renunciation of the law that binds nations and the covenant that gave Africa her peace: the sanctity of borders, the inviolability of nations. Eritrea’s sovereignty is not a theory debated in halls. It is a scar, a scripture, a bloodline. It was written not with ink, but with endurance. For thirty years, we bled our geography into being. Every stone, every grave, every mother’s tear became a clause in the contract of our nationhood. Independence was not borrowed it was paid for in full. Stamped not by signatures, but by sacrifice. To trivialize that history is to spit upon the martyrs who made it. To question it is to stand before the judgment of memory itself. We do not crave conflict, but let it be understood: restraint is not weakness; it is a wisdom weaponized. We have learned the patience of mountains, the silence of seas, and the discipline of fire. Eritrea will not be provoked into chaos, but it will never bow to fantasy. Our coasts are watched not by fear, but by faith. Our defense is not loud, it is lived. Because sovereignty is not a loan. It cannot be repossessed by envy, nor rewritten by the rhetoric of decay. We are the keepers of a covenant older than arrogance. The Red Sea remembers. It keeps its own ledger etched not in tide, but in truth. So let those who dream of conquest remember this: Empires drown where endurance sails. And those who mistake silence for surrender will one day hear it roar. Glory to our martyrs. Strength to our people. For even in silence, Eritrea speaks.

This #Eritrea|n girl says…”What the West is doing is obvious to everyone; especially when you look at what’s happening in our region. The west hates self reliance. Those who serve Western interests R praised, while nations that strive for self sufficiency are met with hostility”

Another Israeli Land Grab An Israeli acquiring vast tracts in Kenya while locals warn of displacement is not paranoia but history speaking. Land is power. When foreigners accumulate it unchecked, sovereignty erodes, law bends, and communities pay. Development without consent is dispossession.
