I once had a player from an oil club approach me. The player ended up doing a 6-month loan spell at my club with weekly wages and company car all fully paid and sponsored by the oil club Player wasn't getting any game time at the oil club and most times wasn't even included in the travelling squad come match day...think of Mezut Ózil during his last days at Arsenal Player went on to mention that even though the contract with the oil club was lucrative, there was just no glory and no passion over there and wasn't getting any game time and they missed the feeling of what its like to play for passion, to play for the badge on a cold rainy night in Stoke

We learn from our mistakes😫... when we get into new relationships when we see the same trend we try to fix it BUT relationships need two people to actively work on it. There are things we don't compromise on.

You can say what you want about the lower divisions, even though theres not much glory there but man they make you feel at home🥹♥️

So I have an opening at my club. Spot is only available for one signing though and I'm in a bit of a dilemma Player A: experienced player who has established a name for themselves over the years with a proven track record. Problem with this player is they are on the wrong side of 30 and I'm afraid to admit it but their best days are behind them and their in the sunset years of their career what makes it worse they demand exorbitant weekly wages with add-ons and performance bonuses. Also noticed activity on their social media where they keep posting compilation videos of their best goals and highlights from over the years with the hope that it will inflate their image and help with the contract negotiations. On the other hand there is Player B: Grew up on the other side of the tracks, young talent that rose through the ranks of our wonderful academy structure which has produced many many other talents that have gone on to be superstars and prominent features in the elite leagues. Great kid with a bright future ahead and comes from a good family, met the parents on a few occasions they had me come around the house. I just want to hear from other club managers and scouts on which signing would be in the best interest of my club and a great investment for the next 3 - 5 years?
