Why have we suddenly become so tribal? Is it just our nature or is it a political narrative to distract young people from our agenda?

@_IanKuria @Otis_112 I like the Idea. Haven't checked out the features. I'm working on something similar too. For personal use though.

My Kenyan activists let me speak to you. As you try to "liberate" other countries especially majirani, please remember their laws and especially their constitutions are not as progressive as ours. In Kenya, our rights are guaranteed and protected by not only the constitution but also institutions that function in comparison to majirani. Here we have a judiciary that is largely independent, we have IPOA, we have KNCHR, we have other watchdog institutions and an empowered populace that knows the law and holds power to account. Kwa majirani, their presidents are still imperial. They jail or kill opposition leaders without as much as a second thought. As you extend activism and liberation to neighbours, please try to look out for your safety first. I am a believer in the fact that every nation must liberate itself. Ugandans must liberate Uganda, Tanzanians must liberate Tanzania. We can share ideas and encourage them. We can offer them asylum when they are persecuted but crossing over to export liberation could be dangerous. First, the authorities there will use you as a scapegoat for everything wrong in their countries. They will blame you and justify atrocities against you by claiming that you're destabilising their country. They will then hold you incommunicado. You saw a Habeas Corpus application dismissed by a Ugandan Court only for Museveni to admit that his authorities were holding Nick and Bob(which we all knew anyway). Let us remain vigilant and fight for our rights here at home and only help majirani where possible without endangering ourselves. Beautiful Sunday.

@Otis_112 We built Asili to make sure our native language and culture can be preserved and accessed digitally We’ve started with 5 languages, but the dream is all 42. Our biggest challenge? Getting native speakers to help us build lessons and content asili.app/help
