Congratulations to our #PEDDI, my dear @AlwaysRamCharan and the entire cast & crew on this incredible blockbuster! 💐💐💐 నేను షూటింగ్ నిమిత్తం పొల్లాచిలో ఉన్నా కూడా నా మనసంతా “పెద్ది” దగ్గరే ఉంది. గత రెండేళ్లగా ఈ సినిమా కోసం చరణ్ పడ్డ కష్టం, చూపించిన శ్రద్ధాశక్తులు అన్నీ దగ్గర నుంచి చూశాను. ఈ రోజు ప్రేక్షకుల ప్రేమ, ప్రశంసలు చూస్తుంటే ఒక తండ్రిగా మాత్రమే కాదు, ఒక నటుడిగా కూడా ఎంతో గర్వంగా అనిపిస్తోంది. “పెద్ది” పాత్రలో పూర్తిగా లీనం కావడానికి తను అహర్నిశలు చేసిన కృషి, పట్టుదల, నిజాయితీ ప్రతి సన్నివేశంలో స్పష్టంగా కనిపిస్తున్నాయి. ఆ కష్టానికి దక్కిన ప్రతిఫలమే ఈ విజయం. ఇలాంటి అద్భుతమైన కథను రాసి, అంతే అద్భుతంగా తెరపై ఆవిష్కరించిన దర్శకుడు @BuchiBabuSana కి నా ప్రత్యేక అభినందనలు. అలాగే తన తొలి చిత్రాన్నే ఇంత భారీ స్థాయిలో, ఎలాంటి రాజీ లేకుండా నిర్మించిన నిర్మాత @venkataskilaru కి నా హృదయపూర్వక శుభాకాంక్షలు. ఈ ప్రతిష్టాత్మక చిత్రంలో నటించిన నా మిత్రుడు, “కరునాడ చక్రవర్తి” శ్రీ @NimmaShivanna గారికి, అప్పలసూరి పాత్రలో అద్భుతంగా జీవించిన నా సోదర సమానుడు @IamJagguBhai గారికి అభినందనలు. అద్భుతమైన పాటలు, హృదయాన్ని కదిలించిన నేపథ్య సంగీతాన్ని అందించిన @arrahman గారికి, తన ఛాయాగ్రహణంతో ప్రతి ఫ్రేమ్ను అత్యద్భుతంగా మలిచిన @RathnaveluDop గారికి, అమోఘమైన ఆర్ట్ వర్క్ అందించిన @artkolla గారికి, తన నైపుణ్యంతో మరో స్థాయికి తీసుకెళ్లిన ఎడిటర్ @NavinNooli గారికి నా ప్రత్యేక అభినందనలు. ఈ చిత్రం విజయంలో భాగమైన #JanhviKapoor, @divyenndu, ఇతర నటీనటులు, సాంకేతిక నిపుణులు, అలాగే @vriddhicinemas, @MythriOfficial, @SukumarWritings సంస్థలకు నా హృదయపూర్వక అభినందనలు. “పెద్ది” సాధించిన ఈ ఘన విజయం తెలుగు సినిమా కి గర్వంగా నిలవాలని, మరెన్నో మైలురాళ్లు అధిరోహించాలని మనస్ఫూర్తిగా కోరుకుంటున్నాను. ❤️🔥

#Peddi: POWERFUL.
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️½
A sports drama with its share of highs and lows... Its biggest strength is #RamCharan's memorable performance + several terrific moments... Screenplay could've been tighter and the runtime shorter. #PeddiReview
After making an impressive directorial debut with the well-crafted and hugely successful #Uppena, director #BuchiBabuSana returns with an unconventional, content-driven film in his second outing, #Peddi.
The film doesn't follow the tried-and-tested masala template, but at the same time, it attempts to cram a little too much into its 3-hour-plus runtime.
A sports drama needs awe-inspiring moments, and #Peddi certainly delivers on that front... The cricket matches in the first half, the kushti training sessions and competitions, and of course, the penultimate race sequence are all exceptionally executed.
That said, there are loose ends as well... The romantic track is a major letdown, while several sequences feel stretched and some seem unnecessary... A shorter runtime was the need of the hour.
Even the item song in the second half evokes strong #Pushpa vibes, which wasn't really required.
#Peddi rests largely on #RamCharan's shoulders, and the actor delivers a sparkling, stunning, award-worthy performance... It's a physically demanding role that also demands a high emotional quotient – not an easy combination to pull off – but #RamCharan is simply smashing.
#JanhviKapoor's character deserved stronger writing and a more impactful presentation... Dr #ShivaRajkumar is fantastic, #JagapathiBabu is rock-solid, while #Divyenndu delivers a competent performance.
#BomanIrani, #RaviKishan, and #UpendraLimaye lend solid support.
#ARRahman's music works well, with #Chikiri standing out... The background score is electrifying, while #RRathnavelu's cinematography is top-notch... The #Hindi dubbing is very good.
⭐ Final word? The buzz for #Peddi in the #Hindi markets is currently on the lower side, and its boxoffice prospects will depend heavily on positive word of mouth... The #Telugu version, meanwhile, is expected to dominate the business.
