Can we stop acting like everyone is supposed to actually know enough about Mew Mew to make this oh so obvious? It wasn't that obvious to me, and I've literally FOUGHT Mew Mew in UT. Most people aren't making the connection with the thrice repeated words text gimmick that easily.

Respectfully, you are crossing wires here. Your theory isn't at all correlated to how people ACTUALLY feel about the Knight's design. On the contrary, the design is one of the most commonly *appreciated* aspects of it.

Hot take maybe but I think part of why the Knight isn't rightfully appreciated as an extremely powerful antagonist and used as a punching bag a lot is that their design is honestly kind of underwhelming (sorry)

The more shapes and complexity and details you add to that sprite, the more of a strain it'd become to look at it in motion once the after-effects are going.

up how much effort is needed to make quality sprites. The Knight is deliberately made with relatively simple shapes for ease of animation and arguably also to reduce eye-strain with the monochromatic color scheme + constant afterimages effect it has going.
