💡Our findings may suggest the need for routine, full medication review when prescribing and dispensing medications for this older population in order to mitigate potentially harmful DDIs, especially those concomitantly prescribed.

🚩We found that DDIs which⬆️bleeding risk were associated with⬆️risk (aOR=1.83 [1.35-2.44]) & cost (median cost €3,520) of ADR-related hospital admission, compared to those without one of these DDIs.

Very pleased to launch RxTrends, a tool to visualise open data on medication prescribing in Ireland: cdrx-project.eu/rxtrends/. It was developed by Dr Ahmed Hassan Ali through the HRB-funded CDRx project. You can read more about it in the companion paper: hrbopenresearch.org/articles/8-36
