🚨 Ajax academy coach Ronald de Boer has revealed that Arsenal’s Max Dowman was once pitched to the Dutch club. Speaking to Ziggo Sport, de Boer said an agent had sent him a video of Dowman about a year and a half ago, saying: “Ronald, you have to watch this. He is such a great player and really something for Ajax. A true Ajax player.” De Boer then passed the recommendation to Ajax’s scouting department, who replied: “We are already working on that, but he is almost impossible to get. He was already so good back then.” Dowman’s talent had clearly caught the attention of scouts across Europe even before his breakout at Arsenal.
