Previs is a very useful tool in look, tone and feel - this is important for storytellers. It will also be helpful when recreating older worlds that have almost passed out ofmemory. I have a couple of spare seats left if you are in creative fields. @cockpittheatre

#Bloomsbury is synonymous with Virginia Woolf. The area was a favourite of contemporaries as they set up the Omega workshop in 1913. Her early days of publishing the Hogarth press are explored in Fame and Rapture, a new play at the Cockpit theatre this autumn. #Virginiawoolf

Katherine Mansfield was born on this day in 1888 in #Wellington, New Zealand. She went to boarding school in London around 1903 and returned in 1908 after a short time in NZ where she was determined to become a writer. Happy 137th 🎂 🥳 #NewZealand #20thcenturywomenwriters

This is one of Virginia Woolf's desks - bought over 100 years ago from Heals on Tottenham Ct Road- this sits in the writing shed in the garden at Monk's Cottage Rodmell. She hoped to host Katherine Mansfield but by this time she was living abroad. #writers #Fame & #Rapture
