Syracuse, Pitt, BC, Louisville, Cincy, Notre Dame, West Virginia, Rutgers all currently find their basketball programs in worse shape than when they left. On top of that, Cuse, Pitt, BC, L’ville, WVU, Cincy and Rutgers are a combined 0-1 in College football playoff appearances.

Syracuse killed their basketball program for mediocre football. Pitt killed their basketball program for mediocre football. UConn tried really hard to kill their basketball program for terrible football. If you are a basketball school, it's Big East or Bust.
