So much focus on Illinois playing Houston in Houston. I honestly don't care. Illinois has played 10 B1G road games, faced UConn at MSG, and UT in Nashville. I'm sure there'll be a lot Coogs of fans, but the % will probably be more like the % of Mizzou fans at Braggin' Rights.

@TexasFancyBoots Houston fans have been waiting years for the coach to be fired. Program is dead and attendance reflects that. Every Houston fan has one thing on their mind this week and it’s the Sweet 16 game Thursday night against Illinois

@_KnowBuddyCares So there aren’t as many Houstonians on the team. That doesn’t mean the fans have dropped off. Tonight was a good example — baseball had more Texas fans at Houston than Houston fans. By a lot. For a midweek game.

I’m gonna say this and I know Texas haters will jump on, but… Texas is good at a LOT of sports. And sports in today’s day and age are EXPENSIVE to attend. Fans of schools that are good at 1 or 2 sports don’t have to make the kinds of financial decisions that fans of schools who are good at damn near everything do. I think Texas fans travel REALLY well in general and Texas is ALWAYS well represented. I will also concede that when you have been to Omaha literally HALF of the times Omaha has been a thing, the priorities - the uniqueness - of which games to attend can shift.

@TexasFancyBoots I’m neutral in this but I can speak from living in Houston for about 3 decades and the kids here that used to grow up rooting for UT and Vince Young (USC Rose Bowl game comes to mind). Those kids don’t exist anymore. Lots of them actually like the Aggies and other teams
