@freaktanylV2 @DUSKdev Just proving a point. Even the anti AI crowd is using gen AI. Hypocrites
English

I've never used Photoshop in my life. Every game I've made was done with Gimp and/or Krita

@DUSKdev If you have used photoshop in your game, make sure to include the disclaimer it was made with AI. Thank you

@Abbusk11 @Kaporegime @MMAFighting Still don't think giving Movsar 1&2 and with the point deduction that leaves us at a draw. I agree by the end he was fighting better and all together did better, but scoring the rounds in a vacuum this was a pretty bad decision.
English

@Kaporegime @MMAFighting In rounds 1 & 2, surely Murphy landed more but was on the back foot. Movsar was the one who was moving forward, trying to engage and more aggressive through out whole fight

@prayforusx @MorbidKnowledge Ikr. She got arrested in 2011, went to jail for 10 years. Therefore got released from jail in 2021. After jail she had 5 years probation. 2021 plus 5 years is 2026. Which means this is the year all of her jail time and probation is done. She’s completely free now.

In 2011, Oneal Ron Morris was arrested for practicing medicine without a license after performing illegal cosmetic "buttock injections" on victims in Florida hotels and homes.
Morris, who had no medical training, injected patients with a toxic mixture of substances including cement, mineral oil, bathroom caulk, and "Fix-a-Flat" tire sealant, often sealing the injection sites with super glue.
The case turned into a hom*cide investigation following the 2012 death of Shatarka Nuby, who died from respiratory failure caused by systemic silicone migration after receiving several rounds of injections from Morris.
Many other victims suffered permanent disfigurement, life-threatening infections, and chronic pain as a result of the procedures.
In 2017, Morris was sentenced to 10 years in prison followed by five years of probation for mansl*ughter and practicing medicine without a license.

@BlameBootsy @goblunation @MightyKeef I think if the game makes me walk around and talk to people I kinda care? Since they are choosing to present it. And whilst the english voice acting was rough I did just mean the text itself by dialogue. I'm sure once you get more through the introduction it gets less important.
English

@_Lakyr @goblunation @MightyKeef just set it to Mandarin or Korean for the voice acting. Your brain tends to be more forgiving when it's in a foreign language. Also, eho cares? I like environmental storytelling, so the fact the cutscenes arent full drama films is fine by me. Just to-the-point chosen-one stuff.
English

@BlameBootsy @goblunation @MightyKeef That's cool! I plan on playing more and like I said I don't think I have a full picture of it yet, early on combat felt like clunky "spam attack" and not much more, but I really mostly played through the intro so far.
English

@_Lakyr @goblunation @MightyKeef Honestly, the combat becomes pretty intuitive and flows well overall once you build out your prefered fighting style (a couple of spots they could smooth). I chose to focus on grappling early with the hook utilized as well... and it's a blast.
English

@goblunation @MightyKeef Didn't play much, so hopefully it will get more interesting and fun to fight, even if it's clunky. But right I don't know yet that its better than Witcher.
English

@goblunation @MightyKeef Now for combat I won't say Witcher 3 has great combat, but it's responsive and got the fundamentals of everything you need down. In what I played of Crimson Desert so far the combat felt very clunky and extremely simplistic.
English

@Grabaka_Hitman What? Terrible decision. No way Evloev should win on the scorecards with the point deduction.
English

@ZaphRaybrandt @Bolshie_Boy DD2 was good what are you on. Just a real shame they kept the same issues as the first game. Biggest one being enemy variety. Anyway, I haven't played too much Crimson Desert yet, but so far I'd take another DD2 over it any day of the week.
English

@Bolshie_Boy The target audience is people who want more dragons dogma, which is fine, dd1 was okay but dd2 was real ass, this seems 'okay' so far im having fun with it. Hopefully enemy types get more wild later on like beholders or cockatrices.
English

@goblunation @MightyKeef Witcher 3 has its own story, it isn't taken directly from any of the books. There also are plenty of video games with just as good of a main story, if not better, that aren't based on books.
English

@MightyKeef The Witcher 3 story is based on the The Witcher books, of course it has a good story. You can't compare that with video games story it won't be at the same level of story telling 🤦♂️
English

@AllusionaryYeen @OsweltOrtiz either. I also agree that no matter what human artists will persist and that these things can co-exist. And having a way for artists to make that clear would obviously be good. I think a big issue is that permission was never given or even asked for, it was just done.
English

@AllusionaryYeen @OsweltOrtiz Sorry for the waving away, bad choice of words I didn't mean to imply you were arguing dishonestly.
I agree with you on the latter parts mostly, I think we might see a change and I don't think AI will be "everywhere" like some people suggest, but I don't think it's going away...
English

@_Lakyr @OsweltOrtiz And when I ask where the stolen art is missing, I always get just shower of ad hominem insults as well :) The ethical aspect is something to discuss, but it's not stealing - which is why the problem isn't covered by current legislation. What AI does is, it learns from the...
English

@AllusionaryYeen @OsweltOrtiz Every argument you have to try and wave it away is a false equivalence. But we're not going to agree with each other and I'm getting tired of the conversation.
It was refreshingly respectful, I daresay, and I appreciate that you at least want more legislation around AI.
English

@AllusionaryYeen @OsweltOrtiz They did, at least implicitly if not explicitly, consent to other people seeing the work by posting it online. Your cat example doesn't work because AI isn't randomly looking over my shoulder and the cat isn't an image generator.
English

@AllusionaryYeen @OsweltOrtiz Definitely not "someone", and it is closer to up/downloading it than it is to "showing" it. You're feeding the actual image, the actual data, to a software. This comparison simply shows the difference between showing somebody the artwork and using it in your product
English

@_Lakyr @OsweltOrtiz These are also terrible comparisions though, because you're not uploading the picture anywhere or put into into a video. You just show it to someone. Specifically to AI.
English

@AllusionaryYeen @OsweltOrtiz It's like I can show the picture an artist posted online on their Twitter for example to a friend of mine without infringing on their rights, but if I take the picture and upload it somewhere else or put for example in a video I make this becomes questionable very quickly.
English

@AllusionaryYeen @OsweltOrtiz AI isn't viewing the picture in that sense. AI isn't a person or creature but a product.
