The NHL Alumni Association is heartbroken to learn that Pat Graham has passed away at the age of 64. From Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Pat played parts of three seasons with his hometown Toronto Marlboros of the OMJHL before joining the Niagara Falls Flyers partway through the 1979-80 season. Pat was selected by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the 1980 NHL Entry Draft and returned to Niagara Falls for the 1980-81 season before beginning his professional career. On October 6, 1981, Pat made his NHL debut with Pittsburgh and scored his first NHL goal on November 24, 1981, on the road against the Quebec Nordiques. One night later, Pat scored both goals in a 2-1 victory over the Montreal Canadiens at the Pittsburgh Civic Arena. Ahead of the 1983-84 season, Pat once again had the opportunity to play for his hometown team, this time with the Toronto Maple Leafs, appearing in 41 games for Toronto that year. After continuing his playing career in Europe, Pat returned home and earned his chiropractic degree from the University of Toronto, and later opened his own clinic.
