A man walked into a restaurant parking lot and stopped at a 1973 Corvette Stingray. He started telling stories about the one he used to own, the one he sold 40 years ago after proposing to his girlfriend so he could provide for her and her two kids. He wasn’t their biological father. He chose them.
For 40 years he raised them as his own and never looked back. His daughter let him talk, let him remember, then handed him the keys. The licence plate reads “YDHT.” It stands for “You Didn’t Have To.”
