🚨 SCAMMER ALERT 🚨
A streamer named “DR.W” has scammed both us and his own community.
We let him withdraw $80,000 after just one stream, and gave him $16,000 in FREE Boxes as part of a 3-month stream deal that included:
• 200% Bonus with x6 wager
• $20,000 daily deposit limit
• A €50,000 leaderboard (more on that below)
The deal clearly stated that optimization gameplay mechanics like farming wager was strictly forbidden.
Instead of delivering real content, he streamed only once, then spent two weeks arguing to change the terms after we called out his abuse of:
• Group Mode to farm wager with minimal risk
• Low Upgrade Mode to farm wager with minimal risk
We still paid his $80,000 withdrawal within 24 hours because we trusted him and wanted to act in good faith. We made the mistake to not specify exactly in the deal the definition of Optimisation. But we still in good faith wanted to keep the deal to honor our part of the deal.
By the way: All streamer withdrawals on EmpireDrop are manually reviewed. Our team checks each stream to make sure the deal was respected before validating any payment.
And recently, we learned even more about him:
• He was exposed for not paying $14,000 giveaway winner
• Other platforms have also had serious issues working with him
To be clear, we don’t pay streamers for giveaways. We pay them for actual streaming content. This was a stream deal, and he completely failed to deliver.
We officially ended the deal, but unlike him, we’re not punishing the players.
We’re increasing the 1st place prize of his leaderboard by €25,000 as a gesture to reward the community. You deserve better than this. So you now have 10 days from now to grind his Monthly Leaderboard. Up to him to put back the Leaderboard. If he's not doing it, we will make our own site to show the leaderboard progress.
Transparency update:
• His commissions will be paid only for the period he streamed (May 1 to 5)
We’ve dealt with streamers breaking deals before, but this case is different. It was premeditated, manipulative, and dishonest. We always paid their mistakes and will continue to do it.
Other platforms prefer to stay silent.
