Highly edited videos are bullsh*t
I've been working with one of my clients for a year now,
And I recently edited a very minimalist video:
- Title Cards
- B-Roll
- Text
That's it. And guess what?
It hit 1 of 10, and it's his 2nd most popular video
Shinyness =/= growth
Don't conflate one with the other.

@BogdanVisuals I used to also, sometimes it can be paralyzing but if you can get past that, that's growth baby

@_LukeWhit True. I see a lot of people waiting for ideas. I used to be one of them. Just start creating, and watch your content improve.
English

@_LukeWhit It doesn't matter if it flops the thing that matters is the stuff we learn while doing it. 💯💯
English

@contentoryyy Or even better, your best things can give you a sense of fulfillment and purpose! But yes you're right
English

@_LukeWhit It's important to create, your best things can get your money and your worst things can give you lessons, win-win
English

@_LukeWhit That's great! Experimenting is a fantastic way to learn and improve your editing skills.

@Oliver_RK_Tighe Has happened to me too many times, gotten better at taking it in though 💪
English

@_LukeWhit Also, you learn a lot from creating stuff - when you create something you thought was good but then realise you could've made it much better, that's when real growth happens
English

@_LukeWhit Creating without fear of failure is essential for growth and discovery.
English

@_LukeWhit Take it all about 90% less seriously, we're all making it up as we go along.
English

@Oliver_RK_Tighe Gooot it. thanks man! This is actually very helpful and gives more clarity
English

@_LukeWhit You’re in the right direction, it’s more specific though, for example, if you said to yourself this week ‘I want to learn how keyframe’ or ‘I want to learn how to rotoscope’ - break down learning editing into the components editing is
English

@andysquadd It was very slightly color graded. Mainly color corrected if I'm thinking right. I didn't shoot in log in this one because it was so bright out
English

@_LukeWhit This seems not color grading yet, does it?
