It’s time to have a serious conversation about Drew Allar.
Young raw. Dripping with football talent. Just turned 22 never played QB till his sophomore year of high school.
No elite coaching. His head coach ruined another surefire 1st rd pick years earlier 3 OCs in 2 years.
Bad scheme for his skill set. Everybody knew it but the bad HC.
Very little talent around him. No WRs drafted in the NFL. His best receiver was a TE. Two 5th rd picks for running backs.
Set records for least amount of INTs while at Penn State.
Even with all those obstacles he won 10 games his first season and almost made the national championship game in his 2nd season winning 13 games.
Was going to be a first rd pick till an injury ended his senior season.
Allar is big and Strong. A cross between Big Ben and Josh Allen. He has one of the best arms in the NFL currently. If Mike McCarthy can fix some minor mechanic issues the Steelers may have just found their next Franchise QB.

Half the fanbase wants to make big bold power moves. The other half wants to sit tight & pray Day 3 talents hit HR & serve primary roles
IMO they need to add 1 more proven vet TE, 1 more front-7 pass rusher (DL or OLB) and hope someone emerges from the compost heap at C & S (including a CB cross-trained at S)

I’ve said over & over that these moves aren’t final until they play games. Ozzie made a lot of late moves, for offensive line no less — McKinnie, Anderson the best examples. Anderson was cut by the Bengals after the preseason. This fanbase just has to panic though lol. #Ravens

The Steelers' revamp is not being talked about enough.
They now have a great downhill OL with two WRs who can block in the box, and a monster Y w rotational receiving TEs
In the passing game, the ability to field 3-WR who fit together as route-runners & still run the ball.

I was a big fan of Alabama WR Germie Bernard throughout the process. Dirty work receiver who does the little stuff right. Very QB friendly. Steelers got a three-down receiver and a great fit next to DK Metcalf.

Here is the official Drew Allar low-lite compilation, can’t believe the Steelers really wasted a premium draft pick on such a sorry lousy college QB when they have other pressing needs, it’s always the what if, outside the lines things with Drew Allar, he proved nothing inside the lines besides choke big games I can tell you that much, I would have rather drafted a long snapper
