After 5 days, I’ve finally had a conversation with a Consultant Despite wanting to have discharged her as ‘medically fit’ on Friday night, and again Saturday morning, the #Mothership has heart failure 💔 Pericardial effusion and pulmonary oedema which they’ve treated….

Well. I say it every time... but I think I'd come home. I wrote 27 pages for my book this morning. The words just pour out. Sitting in this courtyard sipping an ice coffee barefoot under the trees. This might be the freest I've felt in a long while.

Been to see the #Mothership In the week I’ve been away I think she’s aged another 10 years Can’t walk from kitchen to lounge without having to immediately sit down, out of breath Her hair is falling out, she’s practically bald Appt with cardiologist in 2 weeks I’m sad 😢
